The little things...

This image is of one of my favorite things. A recipe holder that I adore that fell behind the stove and my handy husband managed to get for me. The recipe is from my old neighbor in California - Joanne L. who had given me the recipe for one of my kids events. It makes tons and I mean tons of carmel corn. I miss exchanging recipes on cards as I have so many that are from others that all have their own story as well as cook books that have been passed on.

Interiors & Exterior

This week I am focusing on "interior" images that are around the house that strike my eye. Still images are really not my thing but I need to work on static images this week. There is something about how one places objects in their home and these may speak volumes without me having to share much.

This morning had a sunrise that made me roll out of bed to shoot!

Idaho Sky

We had run some errands and on the way home we came over the RR tracks and this caught my eye. Our sky is the most amazing sky I have ever seen! This is taken with my Canon Point and Shoot but would have been THE test for the CPL/Nikon! One can see far off in the distance the Owyhee Mountains with the slightest dusting of snow the fields all tucked away for winter and the feel of brisk air.

If I could get that sky with these horses that would be rockin!!!!

Testing CPL Filter

Just testing out the CPL filter I got back in October and have not had a chance to play with. The sun was out and I was sitting in the car watching what is left of the leaves fall off the trees.

Where Have I Been !!

Well I been busy playing an online game at Facebook OMG ... being sick and playing online games what has happened to me. My poor Nikon has been touched once in the past month I think. That is RARE!! Needless to say my husband thinks I have slipped my clutch to wake to farm online LOL.. he is correct but this game is addictive! Both Farmtown and Farmville are very addictive games! Here is a screenshot of my farm and what I have been doing rather than working on images that have stacked up on my hard drive!!!

Palomino and Desert Beauty

Way off in the distance about a mile and trying to pan doesn't work but this is one cute little palomino coming in. He was sure smaller in the pens than I thought he was.

Desert Run

The colors of the desert really make this image for me. I am really taken by the soft muted tones not to mention the movement of each horse as they make their final desert run.

The Chase _ Brotherhood of Bachelors _ Unity of Movement

The Chase...

Shots like this is when I wish I was better at what I do... I wish this was clearer but it was way off in the distance and I just didn't get it. I like the mood the movement but MANNNNNNNNNN I wish it was sharp. Panning with them coming towards me was a whole new experience and I just missed the mark but I love the color tones and the mood so am posting.

Like the Wind ...

Like the Wind - Rock Overlay Project - Will Rework and Repost Under

Bill I will rework it and repost!

The colors of this part of the high desert always remind me of the colors from an abalone shell. One day a fellow photographer had sent me a picture he took in California and I sent him one from Dedication Point a place I roam. I was taken back as to the color tones in each and how very similar they were.

A rock/wild mustang overlay with some added blur. Feedback welcome! I had been in Leslie Gulch area the weekend or two prior to the gathering and shot several rocks for this project. It is all in the same area and the colors of this part of the high desert are striking to my eye.
